To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Y8370 We send herewith drg. G.74857 which is the standardised flexibility for the servo shaft. Although we have not actually broken this on the car on which they have so far been used, we have broken some .020" thicker and are therefore striving after a bigger margin of safety. The present proposed method of obtaining this is shewn in G.75504 and G.53180 - 2 plates instead of 1. On the 20 HP. we cannot get a spider that will cure jaggers and yet will not break. We should like to have your opinion on the 2-plate spider and any alterations that you think are necessary. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
