| 400a + 400d COPY FOR FILES. COPY FOR LOG BOOK. Typed 25.3.39. STEERING OF 7.B.V. & 9.B.V. Both cars were tried on the Buxton road with Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} and FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} As regards wandering there was no noticeable difference. 9.B's steering was lighter but the wheel "see-sawed" on the wavy stretches of road. In other words, if 7.B's steering were as light as 9.B.V. or 9.B.V. had as little sponge as 7.B.V., then either would be suitable for production.
