11th. November 1938.

E.R.A. Ltd.,
Bourne,
LINCS.

For the attention of Mr. P.Berthon.

Dear Sirs,

We are instructed by Mr. Robotham that you urgently require material to produce AC.9 bearings to the following dimensions:-

Length = 2.375"
Outside dia. = 2.375"
Inside dia. = 2.00"

As we have no bearing die of suitable dimensions for this job, these will be produced in a piston die.

This will simply mean that there will be a little more surplus metal to remove than usual, to machine your bearing.

The casting of these rings accordingly, is al-ready in hand, and we will notify you by telegram when they are despatched.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
