With regard to the fifth paragraph of your memo, we consider that the Quarterly Complaints List as it now stands is a true representation of the actual complaints being received by us, and the question of cost does not enter into the matter at all.

Dealing with your reference to our Inspecting Engineers, judging by their reports, Owners in general are remarkably pleased and well satisfied with the performance of the Bentley, but if any complaints are made, we take immediate action to satisfy the Owner, and when the matter is dealt with either at W. or by sending a man out, we record it on the Quarterly Complaints List.

We are surprised at your remarks re slow running as I drew your attention to the fact that Kingsbury were changing a lot of sparking plugs, and I sent over to you the plugs which Kingsbury had returned to us - vide Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}18/IB.30.10.34., in which we asked for your report on them. You have not yet informed us whether you have found anything wrong with them, so obviously, in the absence of any information to the contrary, we shall have to assume that Kingsbury are right in condemning the plugs.

Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}
