In reply to your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}7/AP.13.1.37. Will you please note that if only the Steering Tube Sleeve (F88190) is plated instead of this and the whole length of the tube, we estimate a saving in factory cost of approximately 15/- per chassis. In other words, we estimate the cost of chromium plating the sleeve, together with the cost of black enamelling the whole length of outer steering tube to be approximately 5/-.
