Dear Sirs,

With reference to the discrepancy between Major Searight's tank and the one we have just calibrated. There should be a slight difference due to a small alteration in the sump as indicated on the attached sketch.

We note that the experimental results we have given you do not exactly follow the tank contour in some of the half-gallon figures, but suggest that you work to the gallon figures.

We will repeat our calibration, but in the meantime would like to have one complete instrument at the earliest moment to fit to the car which goes for a test next week.
