Brake complaint on car B.42.FB and the required modifications.

B.42.FB. - Flt.Lt.Staniland.

We have tried the brakes of the above car and they do not appear to be worse than standard. The owner's complaint that they are inefficient almost certainly arises from the easy locking of the rear wheels.

To reduce the tendency will you please:-

(1) Fit levers Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}303 to the rear foot brake countershaft.
(2) Reline all brakes with ML.
(3) Replace the front drums with drums Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}336.
(4) Remove servo motor and see that it is in good condition i.e. nothing sticking, and that the servo pins have not worn slots in the bushes.

We will supply the necessary material.
