KLG. 18 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 3 point R.4 type Sparking Plugs made by the Robinhood Engineering Works Ltd.

Further to my note Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}11/NJ2.1.20. I am now in receipt of a letter from the Robinhood Engineering Works Ltd. confirming their undertaking to pass to us a credit note for all the un-used plugs and plug cleaners which we return to them, irrespective of whether the plugs and plug cleaners were originally advised and invoiced to us by them or by their selling agents, Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (M.A) Ltd. They will themselves make the necessary arrangements with S. Smith & Sons (M.A) Ltd.

With regard to plugs which have been in use and rejected as defective, the Robinhood Co. are not prepared to take them back; therefore they are left on our hands.

The Robinhood Co. are willing to replace the defective plugs with plugs of a pattern suited to our requirements, or they will modify the defective plugs to the new type, free of charge, if we will give them an opportunity of doing so, but seeing that the KLG. type R.4 plug is not now our standard for the chassis, I do not see that we have anything to gain by agreeing to this proposal and I would prefer that all used plugs be returned to our Stores here and that a list of same be furnished to me, indicating how many of the plugs are quite useless and how many of them could still be used, provided they were fitted into engines to which they were suited.

I am writing to Sales Dept. (London) and to Lilliehall with regard to this matter requesting that all KLG. R.4 type plugs discarded by them be returned here, also any which have not been used, and I shall be glad if EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will kindly return to Stores all used and unused plugs in their possession and as regards the used plugs to indicate which, in their opinion, are quite useless and which could be used provided circumstances suit the plug. I will then decide what course to take with regard to the rejected plugs.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
