For your information, when attending to complaints in connection with the above, we fit the stronger type G.85490 springs to the cross steering tubes,in some cases, as a precautionary measure.

Up to the present, we have fitted the above type of springs to the following cars:

3.AZ.140 24. 9.37 28.030 42.339 At 39.160 Kms. we found that the load had fallen from 3 1/2 lbs. to 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. on each ball end. We added packing washers and increased the load to about 4 lbs. on each ball end.
