LONDON.N.W.10.

For the attention of Mr. Ward.

Dear Sirs,

We regret to find that the body on 4.B.50. has been mounted too low, there being insufficient clearance between the centre prop. shaft tunnel and the cross, also both the first and second body cross members are fouling the chassis frame.

There are two alternatives open to us -

(a) To raise the body and dashboard complete,

(b) To raise the first and second crossmembers including the centre tunnel and floorboards.

We do not like the first idea knowing that the bonnet has already been fitted as this would alter the bonnet clearance.

We should welcome any suggestions which you might like to put forward and also whether you wish us to tackle the job at the works, or do you prefer your men to do the necessary alterations at Derby.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
