2006 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames}8/JH.5.6.41. LAUNCHING WINCH. As requested we have reviewed the man hours necessary to complete the Winch. Below we shew how the hours and dates have been arrived at, the average week is 44 1/2 hrs. 4 Weeks work was done on the Winch Prior to the modifications required by the CLE. This represents approx. 1007 man hours. 40 weeks work is required to modify & complete the Winch = 1750 man hours. Total design hours = 2757 say 3.000 man hours Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. requires twice as long as design = 6.000 man hrs. Total man hours = 9.000. Using 7 designers we should require to the end of July 1941 to complete the job as far as design is concerned. Using 7 draughtsmen they should finish by the end of August.
