C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EAC.14. INDUCTION PIPE. X8070

We send you herewith blueprint of LeC. 2511. shewing slot type induction pipe proposed for EAC. 14.

This pipe is made so far as we can see on the same lines as the model successfully tried in Derby some time ago, with the exception of the nozzle in the slot. This can be made as found suitable.

If water heat suffices for the jacket, then a very good place can be found for the ignition wire tube between the uptake and the cylinder block.

The dotted lines shew where we think the exhaust connection to the jacket would come if required.

We have sent the original of this design to Derby with the idea that they can put the work in hand unless instructions are received from you to the contrary.

Original attached to BY's copy.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
