S.W.15 IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE REFER TO TECHNICAL DEP' AND QUOTE REFERENCE CMC/MEN. 18th December, 1933. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Gentlemen, For the attention of W.A. Robotham, Esq. Further to our discussion with Mr. Robotham, we sent you on Saturday last six type 792 plugs for your consideration and test in the Bentley car. Herewith we are sending a section of one of these plugs from which you will note that we have been able to keep the length of thread and the length of barrel the same as in the 765-A.{Mr Adams} The construction of the centre is very similar to that of the centre used in the type 773, but dimensions have been altered so as to give a greater length of surface to the internal sleeve. A centre with these dimensions has been very carefully tested in an air-cooled aero engine so that we have full confidence in its behaviour. Naturally these plugs are considerably more expensive than the 765-A, but it is possible that you may consider them more suitable for a car of the Bentley's standing. The Writer hopes to be able to visit Derby shortly after the Christmas holiday when he will be prepared to discuss the matter of price with you. Yours faithfully, p.p. K.L.G. SPARKING PLUGS LIMITED.
