On PD.148 we show the bonnet valance strip and the contour of the wing at its junction with this strip. This will enable you to fit in the wings and flange them. It will be noticed that the valance strip is about .650" inside the bonnet so that the wing will pass underneath the bonnet which will be trimmed off to suit.

A print of PD.146 is sent to you showing you what happens to the radiator shell below the front wing. We have shown on this in red how the wing flange follows the contour of the shell.

For your information, we enclose a print of PD.145 showing the construction of the bonnet, and the support of the top hinge at the dashboard. This of course will be fitted up by ourselves when the body is mounted in Derby.

Under separate cover we are sending to you a suitable supply of bonnet rest material, which it will be necessary to fasten on to the scuttle of the body by suitable means, already described to you during the writer's last visit.

The writer proposes to come to London on Monday morning next, arriving at 11.20 a.m. in order to make any small modifications that may be necessary to the complete mock up, prior to the official visit of Sales and Derby which has been fixed for Tuesday next.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
