In view of the troubles which have been experienced on B.60 engine due to crankshaft torsional oscillations breaking the distributor and drive, etc., we should be glad if you could arrange to put the Wraith drive and slipper wheel on the front end of a B.60 crankshaft for experimental purposes.

We anticipate that when we get the correct proportions of harmonic damper it will not be necessary to have a spring drive, but, in the meantime, we need this spring drive to enable us to run endurance.

We shall be glad if you will issue the scheme as soon as it has been approved by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
