X.4072 BY20/H7.6.20. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Mr. Shelton. 96.FC X.4072 RE CHASSIS - EXHAUST FITTINGS RE EXHAUST NOZZLE PRESSINGS E.18576/7. Referring to Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/NJ5.6.20. I did not think that it would cost us anything like the amount in question to produce stampings. It would appear that the difficulty is setting up for so small a number. In view of this high price, and since the pressing is such a simple matter, there can be no question as to it being reproduced satisfactorily; I have arranged with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to make up by hand, three Exhaust Nozzles in 16-SWG. and to test same out in regard to the question of strength under explosion. If they stand up, we shall use the gauge in question, if not, we shall try a similar part in 14-SWG. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EFC RECEIVED JUN 8 | ||
