We send herewith N.Sch.4984 showing the radiator mounting for Bentley III. The Silentbloc bush is used and the design follows very closely that for Wraith II. In order to accommodate this design modifications have been necessitated to the centre steering lever bearing shown on N.Sch.4927. The boss of the centre steering lever has been shortened and the height of the aluminium cast housing reduced. The sheet metal pressing forming the guy to the top of the housing is modified in shape with respect to the central bolting. It will be noticed that the aluminium housing for the Silentbloc bush has to be bored at an angle with its base and in order that this piece may not be placed in position inaccurately asymmetrical bolt bosses are used. The modifications to the bolt centres for the steering lever housing also modify the drilling of the pan. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Att: N.Sch.4984. | ||
