Complaint - overheating & vibration in engine.

Test before repairs. Atmospheric temperature 17°C. Two people up - car fully closed and complete kit. Bellevue test hill - 2.5 km. long - very steep with two hair pin bends. Very few cars do this on top gear.

Temp. of water at bottom. 75°C.

Failed to climb in top gear, but changed into top when sufficient way was possible.

Second test in third speed, whole distance. Engine heated artificially to 95°C. at bottom of hill. Boiled in climbing (half way up).

Notes. Engine was fitted with a high speed fan. Rear shutters of bonnet were open, as run by customer.

Notes during dismantling.
