We have compared the costs of the alternative
schemes of the Fan Spindle adjustment. In each case
we have considered the Fan Spindle and adjustment parts,
but only the necessary machining on the Water Outlet
Bracket to accommodate the fixing of the Fan Spindle.

The following are the comparative factory
costs.

(1) ECD.524 Scheme showing the Fan Spindle 4/6.
rivetted to carrying plate.

(2) ECD.243 Scheme incorporating an 6/-
adjustable eccentric spindle
with locking clamp.

(3) ECD.219 Scheme which shows Spindle and 7/2.
carrying plate produced as a
one-piece forging.
