Arranged a visit GM on Monday. Oy has been working for 12 months on Dubonnet suspension on the Chevrolet. He prefers the wishbone type, condemning the last two years' work, and gives as reasons (1) The Dubonnet is not sufficiently rigid & bends on corners causing oversteering which is very difficult to correct. Deflection also gives a rise & fall also in panel. (2) ' only by chance is a D) suspension free from road shocks (3) Wishbone is cheaper to manufacture (4) Dubonnet requires more accurate manufacture (5) Dubonnet frequently causes low speed wobbles. These be eliminated by tuning the engine mounting | ||
