X.294 - SHUNT WOUND DYNAMOS AND VIBRATOR REGULATORS - in particular X.1402. X.3860.
X.4162. SAMPLE 12 VOLT BIJUR GENERATOR WITH COMBINED CUTOUT & VIBRATOR REGULATOR SENT FROM AMERICA FOR TRIAL. X.3963.

As previously stated, we are carrying out a series of investigations on the design and performance of small shunt wound chassis lighting dynamos, both as plain shunt wound machines and in operation with vibrator regulator control. We are not yet in a position to issue any ether of the curves obtained in this connection, but we can make a few preliminary remarks.

We are gathering together all particulars of -
(a). Component weights.
(b). Magnetic circuit.
(c). Field circuit.
(d). Armature circuit;
(e). Commutator & Brushes.

and making these out in the form of a large table.

(f) At the same time, in the matter of performance as a plain shunt wound machine, we are taking -

(a) Open circuit volt-speed curves from 10 to 17 volts (cold).

(b) Ampere output speed curve (cold) when operating upon an ideal standard battery with definite volt ampere relation. (See note).
