| -7- (12) PINION EXAMINATION. Now remove motor from the rig and examine, first the pinion for sideway play on its splines which may have developed as a result of the above load tests. (14) INSULATION BREAKDOWN TEST. With the insulation still warm from the above electrical test, an alternating voltage of 200 shall be applied through a low c.p. 200 volt vacuum lamp for 5 minutes between the armature and field windings and the motor casing, and the lamp shall show no signs of being lighted. | ||
