order that we may send them across to Detroit and have them tested in one of our engines there under varying conditions of load. If I can have these I will send them across together with the report on the previous ones so that they will not take them to pieces or otherwise touch them before trying them in the engine.

Have you tried plugs of the same heat characteristics but of longer reach so that they project somewhat into the combustion chamber? In my opinion this is worthwhile.

Since writing the above I have spoken to you over the 'phone and this letter is only really to confirm the points I raised with you then. If, and when, you are able to get me a set of defective plugs I will see that they go across to the States by the first available boat.
