Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} (Paris). From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} y7^250 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MI.24.10.30. We send you herewith two small gauges which you may find useful on radiator tubes and also a photostat shewing the various types of tubes that have been used on Phantom 11. If the smaller of the two gauges will go into the centre of the tubes the larger one will not. The tubes are 5 1/7 mm., and are the most efficient that we have. With regard to your query re 'pitching'. We are still working on the problem but so far have made very little progress since you went away. We did find that setting the front dampers at 120 lbs. up and down with 1.032 in the high pressure valve has a slight tendency to reduce the trouble, but at the same time it makes the car ride hard.
