Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. 15th. March.1937. W.J.F. Dear Sirs, We have received your advice note ref. WG{Mr Gill - Financial Director}/F.25429 dated 3rd. February last, in which you give us particulars of 1 - A.M. type Generator forwarded to our works at Deptford, for overhaul and repair. We are pleased to inform you that this machine was safely received but we are unable to trace any other communications from you, in regard to this matter and are without your instructions to put this work in hand. We regret we are unable to estimate the cost of repairs as we cannot ascertain the extent of the damage without dismantling the machine. If you will be good enough to send us your covering order we will instruct our Works to put this Generator into sound working condition.
