Phantom III No. 9 Unit - 35-EX.

The following is a complete specification of the parts which should be included in the above unit before going out to France for 15,000 miles test.

(1) Crankshaft, connecting rods and big end bearings according to the memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}6/JH.1.10.36.
(2) New standard main bearings to be fitted in conjunction with the new shaft.
(3) Exhaust valves in S/SLV - .0015-.002" clearance (Lec.5219), as instructed in the memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}12/JH. 6.10.36.
(4) Lec.5275 modification to non-return ball valve in relief valve.
(5) Modified oil pump drive which is now on production.
(6) "Gaco" sealing washer for oil filler cap, this will be supplied by us.
(7) Modification lubrication of valve gear is being instructed by G.W.H.
