Heaters 1158 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/md.S/GH.4.4.40. 4th April 1940. Messrs. Hallam Sleigh & Cheston Ltd., Widney Works, Bagot Street, Birmingham 4. Dear Sir, FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. BRINKWORTH. --------------------------------------- Many thanks for your letter of the 1st instant, and enclosed literature. As soon as we can get one of your heaters tested we shall be only too pleased for your Mr. Brinkworth to come and talk this over with us. We understand from our Order Office that they have recently received an account for one "Klampon" heater which was handed to the writer on a visit to your Works. Whilst we appreciate the merits of simplicity and silence which this heater gives us, we are sure you will appreciate that it's looks hardly suit it for a Rolls-Royce motor car, and at the time of accepting this heater, the writer was under the impression that it was a F.O.C. item given us as a matter of interest more than anything else. In view of this apparent misunderstanding, there-fore, we are returning the heater unused marked for your attention. We trust that this will clear the matter up satisfactorily. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
