- 2 - E.1/HP.15.5.34. ------------ any of the bump clearance as on the experimental set up. It is evident the shaft will require kinking up in the middle to clear the transmission, but this does not matter. It is also evident that we shall have to return to a split battery to make a passage for the shaft, and make it possible to remove the battery. The 20/25 HP. chassis is more difficult to deal with than the Phantom owing to the lower position of the dampers and will require further investigation. In the case of the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, for various reasons we have been compelled to put the anti rolling shaft behind the axle and provide it with its own coupling links and levers, but as this is the scheme that is used on the Cadillac it should be unobjectionable. We hope at some later date to deal with the proposal to take axle torque through the anti rolling linkage, but at the moment this would delay the job too much. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
