| THE STEAM FITTINGS CO. Ltd., West Drayton, Mdx. THE “SAMSON” THERMOMETER. For Hot Water Boilers, Calorifiers, Mixing Valves, etc. A METAL TUBE contains a liquid extremely sensitive to temperature variations, and an elastic and resilient frictionless metal piston, which is actuated by the volume variations of the liquid with changes in temperature. The piston movement is positively transmitted to a pointer. Means for re-adjustment are provided. A very open scale renders temperature readings easy from a distance. Range, 32°- 212° Fahr. The instruments are made in three types, according to Figures 1, 2, 3. Figures 1 and 2 are supplied with loose unions screwed ½" gas. When used for checking Temperature Regulators, the thermostat of the Regulator and the Thermometer bulb should be arranged on one level. Fig. 1. 119 Fig. 2.
