To Bd.{Mr Berend} From Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} C. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X4117 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} NOV 15 1926 RECEIVED Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}9/W15.11.26. Re Chassis No. 24-RC{R. Childs} - Stanley Johnson Esq. We attach copy of the above Owner's letter dated the 12th. inst : With regard to the Steering, we recommend the fitting of the modified Worm Tube and Nut, the Steering Support, and the weaker Side Steering Tube Spring. We understand the latest type Petrol Tank overcomes the difficulty this Owner complains of as regards overflowing when filling up with petrol. We should like to have your instructions as to whether one of these new Tanks should be fitted. We have not before heard of the trouble with the Rubber Connections between the Engine and the Radiator. Will Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} please let us know whether he has had this experience? We are writing to Mr. Johnson informing him that a copy of his letter has been forwarded to our Administration, and we will carry out certain alterations to the Steering which we hope will overcome his trouble, when the car comes to Derby.
