To HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design},

RE LICENSE HOLDERS.

We have had another sample license holder submitted to us by Messrs L.S. Fresstone & Compton.
Kramer Mews.
Earls Court.
London.S.W.

This license holder appears to be one of the simplest and best looking, and probably one of the most effective, that we have inspected, and we think it would be well worth while testing it, especially as they are prepared to extensively modify it to suit our special requirements. Two samples are sent. The one in nickel plate, it is explained, is made out of castings, which may have blow holes, and consequently if a rapid leakage is apparent, they would like us to make sure that it is not due to some such blow hole. The method of holding on this sample is also a temporary suggestion, and is not intended to be exactly followed in future. The second sample in black nickel finish, has already been tested in water for 16 hours.
