JRD. from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. C. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/ML.29.4.40. CORNICHE CHASSIS FOR COMPLETION. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has now instructed that one Corniche chassis should be despatched to France to have a body fitted. This is necessary because two Corniche bodies are being built in France. At the present moment there are four Corniche chassis stored in London and the gear-boxes off these have been allocated in order to enable us to complete standard cars. However, in order to enable the car to be road-tested in France with the body on, which is very important, we will send one of these chassis over complete and we shall have to find another gear-box for the standard production car. This should be possible when the 7 gear-boxes of the latest type, which are being made, are completed. Unless C. has any objection, the chassis I provisionally allocate is B.2.AW. p.p.Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
