CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION.
FRONT AXLE.

We send herewith N. sch. 2430. shewing the proposed lubrication of the front axle.

It will be seen that we have departed from the construction recommended by Mr. Bijur. This is because as shewn it makes very much the simpler scheme, and we think that it should be tried. We should like the simple arrangement shewn on the main scheme to be tried originally, and the alternatives shewn on this drawing, and on N. scheme 2435., to be tried should the original scheme not prove successful.

It will be seen that the alternation to the front axle and brake parts is very slight. We hope that the slight alteration to the pivot will be able to be got out of existing forgings.
