-3- Curve B.V.58 shews a comparison of the standard cam followers and the followers used for the cam shaft recently used having "R" engine cam forms. The radius of the "R" followers is larger than the standard followers so that the valve timing was altered somewhat giving a longer duration and more overlap. No increase in power was measured at the high speeds but as expected from the valve timing diagram the low speed M.E.P. was much lower than with the standard followers.
