Reference E1/HP22.2.35, we were not aware that so much trouble had been experienced under this heading as apparently is the case. We had a letter from Barkers last week saying that one of their customers had had trouble with this twice, but we thought he had been merely unfortunate. Apparently Barkers also confirm that the Hon.Janet Campbell and Captain Kruse have in addition had this trouble and Barkers have also twice had it on their Demonstration Car. These are all Bentley cases, but as the P.100 headlamps are used on R-R as well, then it must be a general lamp complaint and not for Bentley alone. No doubt it is possible to couple up the moving reflector to the centre portion of the lamp with a more flexible wire which is not likely to fracture so easily, and we are glad to know that you are apparently already in touch with Mr.Neill of Lucas on this matter.
