For the attention of Mr. West.

Dear Sirs,

We very much regret that it was not convenient for you to see our representative, Mr. Perry, when he called on you on Monday.

We understand, however, you sent out a message to the effect that you have been able to carry out some tests with the R564 (18 mm. reach) type plugs, and also with the RA14/4 (R569) standard reach plugs with platinum earth electrodes.

Would you be good enough to let us have some particulars of your tests and of the results obtained.

We also understand that you have not yet found an opportunity to test the RA14/3 plug, of which we supplied four dozen on the 21st December. We regret you have not yet been able to test this plug as we look upon it as likely to prove suitable as a flight plug for your Merlin "G" engine. Would you please let us know whether you anticipate being able to test this plug in the near future in flight.

Would you also be good enough to let us know whether you have now definitely decided the reach of the plug for your Merlin "G" engine.

Yours faithfully,
LODGE PLUGS LIMITED.
