Mr Barrington. RE LOUVRED BONNETS. Hives reports as follows:- "On the road all of the louvres are useful, if anything more air passes out of the front ones than the rear. The louvred bonnets for colonial cars should be made the same as 1718" [strikethrough: one] construction of the I do not feel quite satisfied that the louvres as now made are quite satisfactory, and I am anxious that Mr Royce should see one of these louvred bonnets as soon as ever possible. The louvres require delicate manufacture and do not "lap" enough, engine being too much exposed as per sketch. E.P. [Handwritten signature 'EP{G.
