THE "R.P." PATENT THERMOSTATIC-VACUUM CONTROL
OF
RADIATOR SHUTTERS,
COMPRISING TWO SIMPLE AND CHEAP UNITS.

ADVANTAGES & FEATURES.

Extreme simplicity in design, comprising two Units only, THERMOSTATIC VACUUM CONTROLLER and POWER CYLINDER.

220 to 300-lb pull available as specified.

Great Power: far in excess of any other System.

Unaffected by falling off in engine suction.

It is well known that Bellows-operated Shutters do not develop their maximum power until the engine temperature has risen to at least 95° C. i.e. only 5°C. off boiling point.

In the "R.P." System the power developed is quite independent of temperature, and is always at its maximum throughout the complete temperature range.

Shutter opening temperatures up to 95°C are obtainable.

Shutters close immediately at predetermined temperature.

Adjustable for Summer and Winter running.

The movement of the Shutters is absolutely firm and steady, and is totally unaffected by air pressure.

The maximum power always available permits tight joints in shutter mechanism, thus rendering shutters rattle proof and impervious to fouling by mud, grit or rust.

Will operate existing makes of Shutters.

SUMMARY.

A cheap no-trouble two-Unit Automatic device, CHEAPER THAN EXISTING SHUTTERS, designed to give great power and reasonably steady temperature control under running conditions.

October 1930.
