Your Ref:- RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GRY{Shadwell Grylls}-6/K.{Mr Kilner} 8th January, 1937. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, Technical Department, D E R B Y. For the attention of Mr. Grylls. Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge receipt of your favour of the 7th instant, confirming a previous telephone con- -versation, asking us to put in hand a second pair of Duralumin Front Jack Brackets. We should be very pleased to put this work in hand and anticipate being able to let you have them before the end of this month, but before doing so, would raise the point as to whether you would consider a casing of slightly modified design, to strengthen it, as these forged brackets are hand-forged, and call for a considerable amount of machining, and are consequently quite expensive. Perhaps you would be good enough to advise us what action you wish us to take. Yours faithfully, AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS COMPANY LTD., C. CLENCH, Development Department.
