(2) Remarks re mechanical and electrical design and noisiness of operation.
Single magnet. No oilways. No means of lubricating distributor gear wheel bearing. One additional earthing brush. Damper ring on distributor gear wheel. Vertical working surface of distributor. Armature enclosed. H.T. brush-holder fitted with screw collar, and slip joint connected H.T. conductor. Serrated periphery of cam ring. Machine noisy at high speeds, mainly due to a rattle in the gears, but also partly from the contact breaker.
