Hr. from Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4050 Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}15/NJ22.9.22. School Car. This morning we had a visit from Col.Matthew, of the Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., and in the course of conversation with By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} it was suggested that the wire wheels now on the school car should be re-built with rims for 33" x 5" straight side tyres. Col.Matthew undertook to deliver to us within the next few days a set of six E.5 type wire wheels with rims for straight side tyres, to take the place of the wheels with beaded edge rims now on the car, and when the changeover has been made the wheels now on the car should be returned to the Dunlop Co. in exchange. There will be no charge for this work. [Stamp: RECEIVED 23 SEP 1922] Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} | ||
