Will you please in future when fitting any new front tyres measure the number of inch/ozs. out of balance that they may be and make a careful record and also mark the heavier place on the tyre with paint. Will you then look out for any possible repetition of the eccentric wear (as opposed to patches) which has been experienced. The measurement of the out of balance should be carried out on the hub on which the wheel is to run and preferable after a run when the grease is worn and friction at a minimum. The amount in inch/ozs. is the product of the weight and its distance from the centre of the hub. This weight is only attached temporarily to measure the out of balance and is of course renewed before running. The red dot on the tyre should go level with the valve.
