BIRMINGHAM.

Your Ref. AF/AL.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr.Fraser.

In reply to your letter of the 16th inst., it is quite impossible to place any order yet or to authorise you to make tools.

You have not quite completed the orders for samples: we have to make six cars and test them. There will be modifications to make both to our part of the brakes and to yours also. This will probably take a year.

Our Management have decided that they are not going to rush into production with bought-out brakes: our experiences with outside suppliers have been most unfortunate and we must consider this matter most carefully.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
