W.A. Robotham, Esq.,
Rolls Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Robotham,

Firstly, many thanks for your kindness in my recent visit and for all the time and information that you gave to me. This will be a great help in putting together a comprehensive description of the chassis and I would suggest that I follow this up at a later date by an article dealing specifically with the various points that affect, on the one hand, suppression of mechanical and road noise and, on the other, the reduction in windage with aero-dynamic bodies and the associate problems of gearing. For this latter article, I would like to come up to Derby again and get data regarding the "Corniche" tests and also bring Creswell so that he can get some detailed drawings of rubber mounting, of road springs and similar details.

I hope you may then take a run on my small car, also that I shall shortly be able to have a go on the great Mark V when you have put it into 100 percent. tune. Meanwhile, in view of your expressed interest in small cars, I am enclosing an article which I wrote for the Motor some time ago as I think the data may interest you and you may not have seen it at the time.

Sincerely yours,
Laurence Pomeroy

P.T.O.
