Hollingworth}3/BA.27.6.39. 8.B.V. Gear Box. Failure of 2nd Motion Shaft GB.4817. This shaft has run 1,840 miles in 9.B.V., 66 miles in 30.G.VII ( 8 Cylinders) and 200 miles in 11.B.V. ( 8 Cylinder) We suggest the failure may be due to the Selector Lever GB.4455 slightly fouling the top of the Selector Jaws GB.4342, which prevents 1st speed driving gear fully mating. This trouble is now overcome by the Selector Jaw GB.5128. HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth} | ||
