Welding powder Lumiweld must always be kept dry and free from the air. To use it one mixes it with water to obtain a fluid paste (about 2 parts of powder to 1 part of water). It is recommended that one uses for this a receptacle of glass or enamel. When the weld is completed one carefully cleans the piece removing every trace of welding powder, which would subsequently attack the metal. The best means of doing this is to brush the piece vigorously in cold water.
