EH2/LG13.7.17. We have run one of the improved steering joints for 100 hours in the joggling test. The joint is adjusted to have .100" slack. We are continuing the test until something breaks. If this improved joint is fitted up properly in the first place, we consider it will entirely overcome the trouble we have experienced with the existing type. We are pushing forward with the making of experimental sets of the latest joint LeC.832. EH3/LG25.7.17. One of the improved steering joints has run for 250 hours on the joggling test with the joint adjusted to have .100" slack. This is the first type of improved joint with the taper distance piece. We recommend we should fit these to existing cars at the front in preference to awaiting for the latest schemes. This joint is much the simpler to make and fit to existing cars. EH. | ||
