-3- and a large number of other parts are mostly out of date. X.1300. 49.GB. This needs a number of parts fitting to bring it up to date. The most important item is the Self Starter. It would be useless to send any car to America without a starter because it would be hopelessly out of date. The gear box on 49.GB is not the type for after the war chassis and no type of starter gear has been instructed for that type of gear box yet. X.3185. The suggestion we make is that the Expt: Dept should build up a new chassis. We have in stock most of the parts, although there are a number which will have to be made the best way we can. This would be a true model of the after the war chassis as far as we know at present, and could have all parts fitted quoted in previous lists. We cannot give any definite promise for delivery, but anticipate the chassis will take at least 3 months to complete. We think it would be a good idea for us to make this chassis whether it is required for America or not. EH. R-E-T-Y-PE / -3- P.N.C. RET-YP-ED{J. L. Edwards} 23-8-40 24/ | ||
