Re 20/25 H.P. 10,000 Miles Test.

Thanks for Ronl3/T12.4.34 and I note that in view of output and difficulties of obtaining material you would really like to have the material sanction immediately.

There is no real reason why we should wait until April 25th and I am quite prepared to give it at once, but before actually so doing I feel that as Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} is coming to Derby next week, as per Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/C10.4.34, it would be wise to take the opportunity of letting him go through Vnid4/BP23.2.34 with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from the same point of view, i.e. what modifications can we hope to get on this further batch.

Up to the time of writing Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has not replied to the question I raised about when the car will start.

Here again you will appreciate that our main consideration is to get embodied such items which improve the car from the customers' point of view - namely, silence, reduction of vibration, etc.

As soon as this question of the modifications has been settled the material sanction can be given.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}
