LONDON. N.W.2.

Dear Sirs,

Further to our letter of the 17th. Feb.

We are returning to you the two speedometers C.296 and C.278 which you recently modified for us.

These speedometers are correct for mileage but do not correspond to our request that the miles/hour should read 4% fast at 35°C.

We find that actually the miles/hour reads 5% lower than we require on these two instruments to allow for temperature and increase of tyre diameter, and we would therefore ask you to alter the miles/hour reading by this amount and return the speedometers to us at your earliest convenience.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
